Today was floor fab day. The drivers side floor was cut out by PO so I just fabricated a new one. Not worried about period correct. Getting raptor liner and a rubber mat when done. Having done my share of grinding on my back on the CJ I opted for panel adhesive this time. After 24 hrs I'll remove the screws and work some magic with some seam filler

I thought of you a few times this week. My son got a D5C Cat Dozier. He and I have ran it 12 days - l got into log pile on blew a hydraulic hose connection. I got it off after a few difficulties and took it to a shop to get the fitting replaced an a new hydraulic hose on part of the layout.

The dozier has two metal housings protecting the hoses on the front left that has been previously damaged and I did a good job of messing them up even further. I got the hose back on Friday and ran it two minutes to make sure all of my connection were tight.

Today my son and I worked on the metal housings - we did a bunch of vise work and straightening and prying. We got 2 pieces back in place with the last one to be modified some more before it will fit back in place.

I have never worked on a hydraulic hose in my life. Nor have I worked on a dozier. Watching your Jeep rebuilding threads gave me much need confidence. My son has a tool and die background so he and you would enjoy each others projects.

The dozier is fun to operate - it has two joy sticks. I have never been on a dozier until December. So I give you some of the credit.

I used to run heavy equipment back in the day was a lot of fun

Applied epoxy primer today, sprayed the door panels and roof in glacier white. tomorrow I'm going to tape that off and spray the president red. Oh yeah, one run in the door to wet sand out :-(

I bought a 12 volt alternator and coil to convert to 12 volt. I fabricated a bracket to hold the alternator

Today I took the fuel pump apart to clean and get ready to rebuild

I degreased it (this is the best degreaser I've used, sold at tractor supply) then soaked it in toilet bowl cleaner to get the crud out. Looks like new
