My north waterhole has been completely ruined by hogs and water plants. I have only been back there a couple times this year and both times on the tractor. Trying to let this area go back wild...

It is so dry here...

A bunch of dove feathers under my feeder and this photo shows why...

I get photos like these every day. Yesterday evening when I was hog hunting these dogs came up and treed me. Hung around barking for a while because they were boogered and then they left...

Young predators as well...

And the porker I got yesterday...

Now some better stuff...I am happy to see some turkey chicks made it so far.

A fawn or 2 here and there...

A few young bucks...

And then a few of the boys are starting to show back up...

Hope this guy makes it 1 more year...got potential...

Nice looking crop of bucks you've got growing this year. Hard to imagine it right now, but it's only about 2 months till bow season!

Thank you, I may not get as much stand time this year as normal. New job is very demanding but the pay is good...

Good neighbors are a blessing. I have had many a hunt messed up by dogs here but the deer still seem to keep coming. The problem is the one day the stars would have aligned may be the day the dogs decide to make a pass through our place...

Thank you, will be here before we know it! Not ready at all...had a steroid injection done in my shoulder today for my rotator cuff. Good news is not going to have surgery!

I have let dogs run by a couple times but don't think I would let one tree me.The sell big enough box traps to catch those dogs and then take them to the humane society 2 counties over.Great looking deer

I thought I had killed the final hog and had no photos of any others...oh well...

It took deer nearly 8 months to get used to this feeder. Now I go through 300 lbs every week and 1/2...

I could trap and I suppose our S Plot would be a good spot to night hunt but I can tell you now that even if I could night hunt, I wouldn’t. Not interested in sitting in the dark and the hogs we have move day and night.

May look into building a trap...

I'd have a conversation with the game warden about those dogs. He may not be able to give you the green light to shoot them, or even a legal means of recourse, but he may give you a wink and a nod to do what is necessary to protect yourself. I had dogs like that in my neighborhood about 4 years ago. They were very aggressive and would even come into the yard and growl at the kids in camp, on top of running deer. I never did anything to those dogs, but I know they were a problem for other neighbors too. Seems it sorted itself out.
