Does anyone video there hunts?

I used to film my own regularly. For several years I filmed with two friends, spending a ton of time sitting in a stand just above them, running the camera. That was fun, but my kids reached the age where I needed to prioritize time with them, so filming of any sort took a backseat. I still self-film (or film my kids) sometimes, but honestly I often just find myself not wanting to be bothered with it. There are times when it's easy to do, but a lot of times it is too much distraction for me. With that said, it IS really cool to have footage that I can go back and watch to relive past deer and turkey hunts.

Back in the day, my friends and I had a couple of decent GL2 cameras, but they were quickly outdated as HD cams with SD cards came along. Now any filming I do is with a little Sony Handicam; works well for many situations; the model I have (several years old) has manual focus, but that is too much of a hassle to operate to be practical in wooded/heavy cover hunting situations.

Here is a clip with some hunts from back when I was filming regularly, with the old DV cameras. The first part is my daughter's first deer hunt, but starting around the minute and a half mark, the rest is self-filmed.

(And yes, for me a tree arm is a must for self-filming; I can't watch a 'bow cam' or go pro footage from someone's head for more than about 15 seconds before I am carsick as a six week old pup on his first 2 hour ride in a vehicle.)
