Sending Sweetgums to Jesus

We ripped a hot fire through our Central GA farm late February this year. I wanted to wait until March/April but the Forestry boys said February and Dad wanted them to conduct the first burn for us.

Sprayed an Imazypyr, 24D/Dicamba and Glyphosate with surfactant cocktail today. Hoping it sends them packing for good. 12 gallons covered roughly 6-7 acres of open field spot spraying any survivors.

Hoping .75oz per 1,000 of Imazypyr isn’t too much that it kills adjacent species. Trees were spot sprayed.

Hate to tell you this, but even Jesus has no love for sweet gums !

I went on my crusade the past two weekends using a cocktail of 20%Remedy/80%diesel in a backpack sprayer

I sprayed the basal area of sweet gums and a few chinaberry trees
