Live from the stand 2021

I had a doe and yearling at my feeder for about 15 minutes. I had to pee and I guess I scared them. Just went out the back door and I was 150 yards from them. Been getting the doe and twins on cam at this feeder. Guess she gave the button the boot for awhile.

I had to swap stands yesterday at 11:00 am and then the wind started switching about 2:30 so I called it and went home. Same winds forecast for the next three days so I didn’t go today and probably won’t until Thursday or Friday. Good luck to you guys.

I have reception at a stand for a change. It’s 73 degrees and windy, but hey, we’d kill for this weather in September, right? I shot my biggest buck to date out of this tree 7 years ago. Hunting a friend’s hill. Bumped a doe and 2 fawns bedded 40 yards from the tree on walk in. They were upwind and didn’t spook too bad.

Ended up seeing 8 does and fawns and one little fella that roused little to no interest from the females. Typical teenager…

Hunting here in Missouri just outside St. Louis. Very warm, yesterday was covered up in deer all day, lots of chasing, grunting rut action. All small bucks, today slower so far, one spike and 3-4 does with nothing following the does, which is strange given yesterday every doe had a buck on its tail.

My Dad got a good one yesterday afternoon:
