SC Kansas

Yeah it's COLD! A buddy and I are going to scout some public tomorrow on my day off, the Mrs thinks we're crazy.
I've spent a lot of time outside the last couple of days. Cows are calving, I need to run, and I had to work off the Superbowl disappointments. No scouting done other than to grab a couple of cards from frosted over trailcams.

I saw 9 bucks yesterday morning, all still had both sides. My youngest just told me he saw a big one this morning. Said it was big enough that "even you" would have shot it. Hope to have a good shed season this year!

Next saturday will be worse.Cat did you see my post about the tank if you need one might look at what I have
Looked at the weather... COLD on Sunday and Monday!

I did miss that post until just now. I would like to look at those tanks. I'll have to stop by sometime. Thanks for letting me know.

You guys getting along alright in this cold?
Haven't spoken with buckdeer1, but my family and I have been doing very well during the cold snap. To be honest I've spent as much time outside as I could. Dropped some trees for the deer, ran quite a bit, and moved a lot of firewood. How have you been doing? Did you get much snow?

Not much snow. Maybe an inch. But it got unreal cold yesterday morning and they started shutting people’s power off.

Isn't that fun... random power shutdowns. We were without power for a little while but not long enough to be a big deal. I'm guessing 8-10" of snow. More than we are used to.

-23 wow! I woke up to -17 yesterday. I've got to say that it's much harder to work in -17 than it is 0. Big difference.

Wind storm took out another big cottonwood which took out 2 apple treesView attachment 21939

That looks really familiar! Bummer it landed on your trees.

I had a pear tree break in half not long ago. I'm guessing it got to whipping back and forth in the wind and snapped the main leader.

Need a hand sometime? My saw could use being fired up. Just have to promise there won't be any ticks.

I have plenty of ticks and they are right there with beaver and coons as far as I'm concerned.I got it all cut up this morning.Heck a wind storm the other night.I helped an older gentleman cut up 3 trees that came down the other night. Thanks for the offer
