Well opening day was good to me this year. Was in the food plot he has been pretty much living in all summer. Gave me a 30 yard shot. It is truly a rewarding feeling when you see a management program develop and see the outcome from it. This forum with the people on here have been a great resource. Thanks guys.

Well since the major work at LL is mostly done I’ve decided to pull my old Dart out of the back corner. It’s been sitting for 12 years. Getting engine freshened up and a new 5 spd transmission. This will be the winter project.

I remember when Pa had a 3" Spike Limit for a legal Buck. If you got an 8-point with a 12-13" Spread it was a "good one" and a 16" Spread got mounted.

My Brother (got to love him, but he's stuck in yesteryear- Still carries his Pocket License on his back in those License Holders we used to have to wear) complains all the time they have ruined hunting. Yet he has taken the "best buck of my life" each year for the last 3-4 years. He usually takes the first decent Buck he sees. Then he complains about our one Cousin that takes a "monster" every year, saying it's the property he's hunting on. (they pretty much connect) The TRUTH is my Cousin made the decision several Years Ago to Hold Out for a Big Buck or not shoot one. That is why he gets one almost every year.

Food. Time. Genes. All three help create Bigger Bucks, with Genes (IMO) helping the least.

Nice MOPAR.

I had a 69 Road Runner I was restoring with a 383 and the 727 auto Trans. Then I met a Girl and decided to get married. So sold the RR to buy a Trailer to live in. Couple Months later I tossed her out (thankfully hadn't married her yet) so lost them Both.

I miss the Road Runner more.

Oh my. That’s sad. I tell my wife that other than my mom this car has been with me longer than any woman. I have had this car 34 of my 47 years of life lol. I got a 65 Satelite 4spd that I made into a 426 max wedge too. That’s my driver.

Haven’t looked here for a while. Life has been busy. Update on cabin. Sprayed foam insulation inside and covered with old lumber and installed 3 mini splits. Great addition for creature comfort. Did not plant any beans or corn this year. Just planted soil buildup mixes and clover to help get the soil better since my big rock picking project last year. In need of rain here now as it is very dry. Got my Pa and Ohio deer back from taxidermist. Been moving a lot of dirt from in front of my new building and still waiting on contractors for new concrete floor. But mostly the be been traveling all over country drag racing this summer.
