Spraying brassica

Is it ok to drive over my brassica plot to spray for grasses? They are starting to overtake the brassica. They are about 6 inches tall and starting to form turnips. Or am I better off using a backpack sprayer for the acre?

If they are large enough that they are getting more brittle they will break. If they are still flexible they should be fine. Even if you do break some off it probably won't be a big deal unless you need to drive all over it to spray? What are you driving to spray? Tractor--4 wheeler--bicycle?

I would use my smaller kubota with a 12 foot boom. I think that are at the point they would break, but I’m not positive. It’s only an acre so it may not be that big of a deal to spray with a backpack sprayer.

What are you spraying on your brassicas?

I just used a backpack sprayer on mine but from the responses to your post I could have driven my quad and sprayer over mine. I used clethodim and I know I didn’t get the coverage you’d get with a quad or tractor mounted sprayer.
