15% 3 way commodity feed

I feed pellets in a banks feeder. If it does clump, the raccoons scoop them out for me so I never know it! :D

To use this instead of straight corn at a decent price. I also cannot find a farmer near me willing to sell me corn in bulk

I used protein pellets in a Banks feeder one summer and had zero problems with moisture, but the deer were eating 250 lbs of food every 4 days so maybe that’s why.
My best use of it was later in the season when I was going through 300 lbs every 3 days and it was 2 parts corn, 1 part pellets...when I stopped feeding even with that small amount my feeder had clumped feed in it I had to scrape out...

Weird. What kind of pellets? I used the Record Rack protein feed and had 0 problems...I was feeding 100% pellets and went through several pallets worth. The humidity where I hunt is very high so there was ample exposure to moisture.

I have used 2 kinds. 1 was a high protein pellet our local feed supplier was selling. It was made in a local feed mill and looked like a great product. The next was rice bran pellets from Atwood’s...

I just dump the rice bran powder on the ground.I never had any problems with Record Rack in a banks feeder but trying to find a store that sold it after deer season got to be a problem
