Habitat / Outdoor Working Clothes

I got some LAPD cargo pants a couple years ago from Amazon. Even being black they are comfortable on hot days. Tough as hell. I can ruin a pair of jeans at work in short order. These have held up much better. I also have a fishskins head cover and a big stupid looking floppy hat. I prefer to be hot and uncomfortable to spending time and money at a Dr office.

Permethrin soaked anything!!!!! I will not wear jeans in the woods. I have to wear jeans for work everyday and hate wearing them

I have older, worn out turkey hunting pants that serve as my outdoor work cloths during the summer and rubber boots. All sprayed down. I am not a tick a phoebe but I worry about my kids and dogs when I come home. For some reason ticks, mosquitoes are not attracted to me. Deer flies are another subject

If its strictly tractor work shorts and t shirt and hiking boots sun glasses and hearing protection with the radio on!!

Those Elimitik pants are hard to beat, permethrin infused into the threads, so never wears out and no need to retreat ever or worry about potency wearing out, likely safer for us as well. Had them for number of years. I swear by them, there is nothing better in woods for tick control.

BC 20I have tried the elimitik clothing and I agree it works, just not the very comfortable. Your reminder of this clothing has reminded me of a new issue with pets. Will start another thread so I don't hijack this one

The best deer tick eliminator is to wear high boots when doing habitat work. Deer ticks hang out in tall grass, and I have never picked up any kind of tick when wearing knee high boots. I like the Tingley Ultra Lightweight Boot, made out of foam, light, comfortable, easy to put on and off. They just have a new model out.

Not sure if you have seen some of their new pants or tried them....when first came out was just that thick denim jeans that they offered and i would agree those were not most comfortable to work in..... now they have more of a "tactical" style work pant much better in the heat.
