For you New York guys...

don't know about his politics but your Governor is very impressive on his daily pressers. Remember when his dad was the Gov. but never paid much attention to Gov. Andrew. Like his style and his message.

The Governor has come out and said he doesn’t want people like me in his State. If you’re not a progressive on everything leave. And those are his very words. Look it up. People are leaving NY in droves because of his policies. That aside he’s in a big bind right now. Everybody’s looking at NY as they seem to be leaps and bounds worse than the rest of this Country on this virus He needs help. He really has no choice but to put politics and his bully rule aside. And he is truly a bully. Don’t be fooled. So far he’s played nice with others and most people believe he is taking steps he has to.

Prolly should have known better than post this regarding a Dem governor. Last state or national dem I voted for was Jimmy Carter when I was 19 years old. My very first general election vote. Just listening to his pressers he sounds reasonable and sensible, much moreso than Blasio.

The one thing about past Presidents is it seems they’re always smarter after they’re no longer President. LOL. A lot of people think Carter was a poor President. Since that though he seems like a pretty decent guy and has done a lot of good things. As far as Diblasio, just ask the NYPD what they think about him. The fact that Cuomo doesn’t even like him tells you something. Cuomo is doing what he has to do. It’s a tough time around NYC right now I wouldn’t want to have to go in front of the people everyday right now. I do give him credit for not hiding and being out front. My opinion is a 7 out of 10 on this particular situation. And I normally would give him a 2 out of 10 on just about anything else so good or bad he’s leading right now and to be fair no other Governor is more out front with this right now. His absolute best statement to date though is he has no interest in running for President. Everybody had a sigh of relief. Especially Biden. LOL

Tough times separate the real leaders from the wannabes. Thumbs up to president Trump for keeping a positive spin on this. That's one of the biggest things that he can do. Thumbs down to Nancy Pelosi for putting a negative spin on things and playing her little political games in a time of crisis. This shows that she is in above her head. We need leadership who can keep the people thinking positive through these times of trial.

In PA we are shut down and stay at home, but construction is partly open. In MD, NJ, and VA they are shut down and under stay at home orders but construction is allowed. In NY state construction is totally shut down, which makes little sense. Construction workers under normal conditions are in a piece of machinery by themselves and have little contact with each other, they're probably safer on the jobsite than wherever they are if they are not working. It seems the Gov in NY state is out of touch with how working people make a living.

My take on the NY governor is he is one of the best there is in presenting the image that makes enough people vote for him come election time to keep him in office. For most of us in northern NY he is very, very bad news to most aspects of our way of life.

Unfortunately Andy Cuomo is the most hated man in upstate New York for good reason. Ever heard of the Safe Act that he came up with and had to weasel his way of getting it passed?

He doesn’t care about us upstaters, and why should he when all he has to win over is all the folks in the city. I wish we could chop the upstate off from New York and they can have the City and take good old Andy with them.

FWIW his father was a much better governor than he has been for us upstaters and did more for sportsman throughout our state.

Dave, as usual you are spot on.

IMO, Cuomo is not a centrist capable of leading middle America.... At his core, he is a progressive liberal who views middle America and those with different values or beliefs as deplorable.

There is one thing he is getting a big F on. He shut down the State with no thought whatsoever that there were only 700 people working in the dept of labor on unemployment. As 3.5 million people are trying to file. He did say that must be stressful on people. Really nice he’s thinking about it now. Some people still haven’t been able to apply after 3 weeks now So the Fed help on the unemployment won’t be coming to NY anytime soon. Probably about 6-8 weeks before anybody laid off will be getting any State or Fed benefits concerning unemployment.

He isn't called Governor "head-case" for nothing.

At one of the rallies against the SAFE ACT we attended in Albany, about two years more or less before he announced his run for presidency, Donald Trump flew in on his helicopter which had the letters TRUMP running the length of it as large as possible. The helicopter circled the State Capitol a couple of times before landing at the rally site so you can bet that Andrew knew he was there. The Donald was even more outspoken then than now and when he addressed us freedom/pro second amendment people, He tore up Andrew. He talked about how Andrew had screwed up New York State with extremely poor fiscal decisions and how much corruption there was in the Cuomo ranks. Donald also told how Cuomo was bent on taking away all of our gun rights. The entire crowd chanted “Cuomo’s got to go and Trump for governor”.

The Donald had two trench coat gentleman flanking him on the stage and when he said he was 100% pro Second Amendment, he patted three times the left side of his chest and turned to look towards the capitol. Everybody got the message and unless Andrew had high quality ear protectors on, the repetitive and almost constant cheers from the crowd as Donald spoke had to be ringing in Andrew Cuomo’s ears.

Donald drew the line in the sand and held nothing back in his disdain for Andrew Cuomo. When Andrew now says a nice word or two about Donald, everyone that was at that rally and most everyone in the north country know that old two faced Andrew is at it again. That someone like him can fool so many people is astounding. It’s too bad Andrew has all the skills needed to get elected but is only in it for himself.

And whenThe Donald flew off in the TRUMP helicopter it again circled the capitol area and the cheers from the crowd knowing that Andrew was watching were deafening and went on and on and on.

I guess Triple C is getting his answers. LOL. I think Cuomo went off the deep end today. If you think upstate hates him now wait until tomorrow. He has by his own admission. 10,000 ventilators in NYC area. Around 2500 are being used. In his mind NYC comes first over the rest of the State so even though they still have 7000 ventilators not being used he is going to send the National Guard to confiscate ventilators from upstate hospitals. If they don’t get them back he’ll pay for them. Lol. So my little hospital with 3 vents. How many you going to take. All 3? He’s losing it.

just to add and update on this. State Senators and Legislators are up in arms over this upstate.

“Cuomo orders confiscation of ventilators across the State”
National Guard members will pick up the ventilators for use downstate, he said.

State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, said he strongly opposed Cuomo’s order.

“We have been watching the situation in New York City and we have an increase in cases, hospitalizations and deaths in other parts of New York,” Borrello said in a statement. “Taking our ventilators by force leaves our people without protection and our hospitals unable to save lives today or respond to a coming surge. We stand together opposing the governor’s very dangerous and reckless action. He is leaving our communities in a terrible position which will cost lives.”

Buckley, Cuomo’s indifference to the other than the city where most of his votes have come from in the past is truly disgusting. One stunt he had in motion was that illegal aliens could get drivers license while he was simultaneously pushing a new law that anyone with a drivers license could vote. Don’t know if he got it thru or not. It is no surprise that people outside the state could fall for his line. I myself in weak moments think like 3C, gee this guy is making sense. And then I remember his power plays with the SAFE ACT and how I can not order ammunition on line because though it has been five years or more since Cuomo forced the so called SAFE ACT through and how his first and second in command were sent to prison for stealing thru corrupt acts in their jobs, and that Cuomo still hasn’t straightened out the details for ordering ammunition online as promised and though those around him were sent to jail for corruption he got a pass. All Cuomo ever shows interest in is where the votes come from which is the city and illegals. This has nothing to do with Democrat or Republican, the guy is not at all in our park. For those that have been fooled by his TV appearance performances don’t feel bad, he is a master at fooling people and a real threat to our hunting and 2A rights.

Coumo’s ventilator grab is normal operating procedure for him- not surprised, disgusted but again not surprised.

Fortunately I live a mile from the border. I do all my doctoring, dentist, shopping and living in PA. So I’m sorry if any of you get stuck in this NY debacle. I’m crossing over the border. I’m getting out permanently soon but there’s a small snag that I can do nothing about right now. Anywhere but here is my motto

Welcome, like our old license plate ssaid, You've got a friend in Pennsylvania. PA is not a perfect state to live, but I think I can safely say it beats North Jersey and NY. If we could do surgery and remove a few places like Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh we'd be like Texas on the east coast.

I understand about not being perfect. Everywhere has pros and cons. Just to be clear I’m not moving to PA. I pretty much do my living in PA. Right now . I will be moving much further into warmth. LOL.

Yeah...I'd say I got my answer as to how folks outside Gotham City feel about Cuomo. You guys upstate keep posting away. Lot's of beautiful properties up there. I've just never seen any of it with my own eyes. Only NYC.
