Following in order of another thread....Went out with my good friend/hunting partner/ business partner this past week cruising the mountain roads. He was going to start his 3rd round of chemo n last 18 mo which included 2 surgeries. Best friend a person could have even if he does have more horses in his pony.

Then today did a little fly fishing today after walking an extra 3 miles before wife and I got rid of the crowds. Not much luck other than small ones. I’m sure it wasn’t the fish fault.
I also did some hingecutting this wk but who wants to see habitat improvement pics on a habitat thread??lol

If I could get on the govt nipple I could get a lot done while on lockdown. Ignore the garage mess, my sock drawer looks neater than this.
Went together pretty well wo much cussing. I’ve worked on cars and bikes most my life so throwing a tool now and then relieves tension. Lol. SIL coming up bringing my tractor home from NC so he’s gonna help me set up. Have another to do.
My mechanic dad and grandfathers prob would be flipping off if they could see me using an adjustable wrench to hold my nuts while I tighten. Man , ratchet boxed are so nice. These are cheap ladders and one of the most comfortable and quietest I’ve used for the money.
Interesting you can see my first stand , a TSS hanging distant on the wall. You could come down a tree REAL QUICK with that thing. Used it along time tho. Progress.

Nice, folding creeper you got there....Just sayin'.
Yep it is handy sure beats kneeling. And the kids replaced my old beat up one. Haven't even got this one greasy yet.
Assembling a ladder stand next to a Porsche and 2 harleys is not recommended.
That’s kind of what I thought then I thought what’s the worst that could happen. Lol.
Yea I was never very bright. Nasty outside so I was just building, drinking a Bud, and jamming to some music. In my own little world where its not safe to enter even for me sometimes!!

Has TPC Racing lightened your wallet yet Dogghr?

In my previous life I have been guilty of spending buckets on technology for motorcycle and car. Most have been mods I’ve done on my own w knowledge learned from family with minimum expense to corporations. But I will say this 11 yo car is completely stock of what I ordered initially. That was my goal and I’ve held to it. Temptation is strong tho when I’m doing my maintenance in that tight engine space.
Now my buddie is still fighting the addiction w his GTR and they have served him well. Cranking nearly 800 hp in a very drivable car. On the twistys I can best him w my mid mounted engine and it’s 50/50 front to back/ left to rt weight distribution that makes it drive like on rails in turns , but with that GTRs all wheel drive it does take some driving.
But I do rag him of his paddle shifters and remind him real men clutch and shift gears. Lol

Haha, yep those computers with wheels Nissan makes are amazing but lose something in the driving experience dept. well if you get the itch to throw wrenches again, TPC make great turbo kits for Porsche DIYers. They’ll shave a few pounds off too....your wallet that is. But nobody makes them better. Nice to see the Germans returned to naturally aspirated 6’s in the 718 GTS and GT4s. Those whiny turbo fours just sounded all wrong.

Oh I know. I spend time on tpc website and YouTube but I keep my wallet in The other room. And you are right about the turbos. I told my SIL if he’d make sure no one ever hooked me up to life support that he could have the car. Lol. Ive had mine to 167 mph with intentions of hitting the limiter in the upper 170s but backed off due to conditions. My wife hates riding w me. Lack of trust for some reason. I’ve been pulled over by Troopers just wanting to talk about the car and it’s ride. Interesting conversation but saves me a ticket. Kinda like having your mom asking for the truth as a teenager!
I’ve kept it stock inspired by a buddy that has a 69 914 sitting in his barn still stock.
As for the Nissan , I wouldn’t tell my buddy but it is an awful car to drive any distance. Poor suspension and noise control for anything but the track.
The most fun car I’ve helped worked on was a Subaru WRX of all things. It was cranking nearly a 1000 hp and only weighs a couple dimes. Crazy.

Those cars bone stock are still about as much fun as you can have with your pants on, and some day your SIL or someone is really going to appreciate it that you kept it that way. You’d go crazy in my part of the country, you have to drive 20 miles through potholes that look like bomb craters just to find a curve! Afraid we’re a far cry from the twisties. Nearly the entire county is laid out in square mile grid roads. Not a lot of suspension tuning going on around here .

Back at work full time. Kinda. Celebrating Cinco de Mayo w co workers at lunch break. Carry out from one of the best Mexican restaurants in the country! Carry out including my foam cup Margarita. I love Mexicans. Just trying to support local small business economy.

Looks good. I learn more and more about West Virginia every day. First I learned they have less than 2 million people. Never knew and now that they have Mexican restaurants. Also that you have a Governor with a cool name. Lol

Shouldn't you be keeping all of this good stuff a secret? If everyone who's unhappy with their governor moves to West Virginia, which you're tempting us to do more and more with each post and picture, we're going to overrun the state with so many new people moving in.

No offense but we don’t like other people. I’ve argued for years that I have no need for a Mexican border wall , but want one up the Ohio River and across the Mason Dixon line. I kid I kid. My brother is a Buckeye.
Come on down we share a pepperoni roll and maybe a sip of Corns finest.

I remember the first time I did some turkey hunting in WV. I walked into a gas station to get a pop and there were two guys there that must have just come out of a coal mine. They were black with soot head to toe. I don’t know why it shocked me but it did. Coming from other parts of the Country I always knew coal mining was dirty work but that just took me back a bit. Just the reality of it Some hardy souls down there. Don’t mean to imply that’s all there is there of course.
