2020 sheds

Looks like majority of my bucks shed this past week. Trail cameras show lots of antlers last week and very few this week. There are a couple of stragglers still holding one side, but it’s time to get serious about shed hunting.

I sometimes get lost in the hustle and bustle of life but tend to head back here when things die down!!!
 
Yeah. Hunted him hard in Dec. The one in my left hand is his left side from last year. Found it yesterday, too.
 
I found a dead buck while shed hunting. He must have had an injury the year before to grow a rack like that.

I am going to give it a go this weekend. Almost all bucks held both sides well into February. Most should be shed now. It’s tough hunting in the hills and hollers. I’ve never found any laying in a field.
 
My wife said she's going to go shed hunting for the first time, and 5 minutes later she found her first one. Should I tell her that was a very lucky first find, or l let her figure that out on her own?
She didn't just pick it up in the field either. It was in the woods.

She may have it figured out. My wife has a way of finding things that I can’t that turn out to be right in front of my face.

I spent the day with a chainsaw in my hand and some time on the tractor. Didn’t get a chance to look.
