    Trump Buck

My wife grew up in West Mifflin and taught in Pittsburgh public schools for fourteen years. Good people in Western PA. I grew up about two hours South in WV.

    Turkey Hunting Thread!

My bride tagged out this weekend. Three gobblers. I gave her an outfitted hunt for Christmas and he is one helluva guide and has turkeys out the wazoo. It was so much fun to be there with her!

    Deer in small woodlots

Couldn't agree more, Gator. Blizzard, I hunt a lot of big timber. But when I look at aerials for big woods , I look for fingers of timber that probably resemble your thin strip of wind row or creek bank trees. It could be a finger of hardwoods amidst young pines, or a regenerating clearcut...

I know this is a deer hunting forum, but....

Cannot wait. Treating my wife to an outfitted hunt on 3/31. It was her xmas gift. Brought tears of joy to her eyes. God, I love that woman.

The IDNR is going to get tired of hearing ".....but Lakosky did it and got to keep his gun and deer" from all this.

Go easy on mowing down canebrake and other indigenous forms of cover, imo. Important cover for deer and turkeys.

Imo, i would wait until it was too tall to produce fresh browse. Then a few years later, i would mow a different strip. Good natural browse.

Great. Now I can't lecherously leer at Gaga's or Carey's cans without LL popping into my consciousness simultaneously. Talk about aversion therapy!

Geo, looks like you've got half a plate of brassicas there. That'll put hair on your chest fo' sho'.

    Bow snobs

I tease my friends in a similar manner, but friends is the key word. They know I'm not really bound to a brand in that "my tribe is better than your tribe" fashion. PS...my bow mentor shoots a PSE and he has killed so many animals in so many states! When he talks, I listen, trust me!

    Introduce yourself

Warms my heart that you and your son hunt together, Mr. Wayne. Awesome!

    Food Plot Location

The trail that leads from your SW entry point to your two food plots and eventually off your land looks like primo murder hole potential, sir. Hunt the wind accordingly, depending on their direction of travel, and use the correct access point, of course...but I would hunt the crap out of that area.
