    Guidance Method To Spray Crops?

I would say that sounds similar to my experience with the Iphone app and the Garmin glo. It keeps me on track and helps identify major gaps. The user interface on the Iphone Tractor Guidance app looks very similar to the pics Mennoniteman posted at the start of the thread.

    Guidance Method To Spray Crops?

I did end up getting the Tractor Guidance App and the Garmin Glo. The jury is still out on it's effectiveness... It tracks pretty well but does not seem to get my location accurately enough to really rely on. It's seems to be good for setting up your pattern and drawing parallel lines at the...

    Guidance Method To Spray Crops?

I made a foam kit with a 12V Tire compressor and a plastic jug for my little UTV boom sprayer that worked pretty well. I've since switched over to a boomless sprayer so my spray width is significantly wider and the foam system isn't helpful. I see an app for iPhone called Tractor Navigator...

Matching Tractor to No Till Drill

I think it is likely different for each individual depending on tractor size and use conditions... but if you weigh out all of the conditions the choice is probably clear.... but when you match up either the 3P or the pull-type to your conditions properly, both are excellent machines.

Matching Tractor to No Till Drill

You've probably looked at it already, but the 3P606nt is listed at 2,300 lbs empty. The 3P lift capacity of the 4066 is shown to be 2,500 lbs at 24" behind the lift arms. I took that to mean the tractor MIGHT handle the 3P drill but the numbers were too close for me to feel comfortable with...

    Pole saw, battery or gas??

x2 on the Oregon.... I haven’t used it heavily but it’s been great around the house and I love how quick and quiet it is for trimming trees for tree stands and shooting lanes. ... seems really well built so far

Matching Tractor to No Till Drill

That is a valid concern.... All of my work is on one property. the pull-type drill can be towed by a pick-up by disengaging the drive system on the hub of the left wheel. The manual limits the speed to 20 or 20 mph. My drill was delivered to me behind a pickup... faster than 20-25, and I...

Matching Tractor to No Till Drill

Just under 16k for pull type with standard seed box and small seed box. Native grass box adds another 5k.... didn't get that option.

Matching Tractor to No Till Drill

I went through the same thought process, thinking I wanted a 3P drill. My tractor is a JD 4066 (66 hp). The hp rating was high enough for the 3P but the tractor and 3p lift capacity was too light, so I bought exact machine shown above, only in the Great Plains version. After using it for the...

    Rye or wheat???

I can't answer your question about the Triticale because I'm trying a little for the first time this year as well. But for reference my prices in the DFW area were: Soft Awnless Wheat: $11.25 Elbon Rye: $16.50 Triticale: $24.00 Walken Oats: $19.50

    Eagles in the ground, finally

I don't have pics, but I have the exact same situation as you this year in southern OK.

Terminate Rye or let it go?

Thanks everyone.... that’s what I was hoping to hear. I don’t think frost seeding applies as I am in southern OK, but if I do as suggested and seed with Ladino clover in September and then mow the rye down to cover the seed, should I add some rye again or will the existing rye reseed enough to...

Terminate Rye or let it go?

This is the only pic I have. I’d say it’s moderately thick but not super thick. Can walk through it easily and see the chicory below fairly easily.

Terminate Rye or let it go?

I also have a cultipacker available if it would make any sense to roll it down instead of mowing.

Terminate Rye or let it go?

I have a 4 acre plot that was soybeans last summer. In September I over-seeded it with a chicory, crimson clover, and rye mix. Right now the rye is headed out and about 3' tall. Their is a good stand of chicory in it and pretty sparse crimson clover. I'd like to turn this into a perennial...
