    Live from the stand 2016!

Rut in full swing in SW Misouri my boys each killed bucks last weekend coming off the same scrape and my uncle got one that was with a doe all in Taney county . Got some cool pics on my trail cam in Stone county of a buck breeding a doe. It's posted on the trail cam thread under scrape action .

All day hunts... who does it?

caught this at 12:20 Nov 12 on a camera set on a scrape (camera says 1:20 but I didn't reset it on daylight savings) though he's not huge it just goes to show when the rut is on you better be in the stand. i have more pics of the chase under trail cams thread "scrape action"

    scrape action

Set a camera on a hot scrape, I set it to imidiate so it would take back to back pictures. Had some good action but all at night. Saterday was the opening for rifle season so I left for deer camp for 3 days when i got back I pulled the card and had a buck chasing a doe at 12:20 in the afternoon...

    Kids

Don't push a successful hunt on seeing deer, when a squirrel russel the leaves point it out, show him the blue jay or crow. most important is be patient . Been through it with 3 kids and loved every minute of it . when he's done that's fine take a hike back and show him the outdoors . Good luck

Why did this spot in my plot "take off"

In my cow pasture that's the last blade of grass to get ate... Be interesting to see if that holds true here.

    Should have been there!

Happened to me just the other day . the buck in my profile pic was in front of my stand at daylight on a day I could have hunted but decided not to. Haven't missed a opportunity since !

Why did this spot in my plot "take off"

What's your thoughts... Before I planted my first plot I took my weed eater and cut out a small circle of bare ground then dumped a bag of apple flavor deer corn out just to check the activity . View from the stand... Between the deer and turkey they made short work of the corn. so in goes...

    Youth hunts

I try to teach my kids it's about the hunt, although we like to hunt big bucks we don't make it a competition . They are very competitive in sports and hunting is our way to get away . they all get real excited when one of their siblings gets any deer. big buck or small doe doesn't matter .

    Youth hunts

That buck was actually taken in taney county, just north of Branson on a piece of land my grandpa was born and raised on. we've killed alot of good deer on that property , I've got trail cam pics of nice deer on my 120 acres in stone county that we've been bow hunting , but we always rifle...

    Youth hunts

Couldn't have said it better, the excitement of a kid getting their first deer , or even seeing a deer, or turkey in the wild is the greatest reward .

    Youth hunts

Let's brag on the kids here. Took my daughter out on her last youth hunt this morning . Youth season is my favorite time to hunt. Much more satisfying hunting with the kids. Paige turns 16 next year , she's been hunting since she was 10 and has killed some does but hasn't gotten on a buck...

Neighbors Cows coming onto my land (Georgia)

As a rancher with cows in Missouri I know if my neighbor doesn't have livestock then I am responsible for the fence. If both parties have livestock then if you stand on your property and look at the fence you are responsible for the half on your right hand side. Most cattle men will understand...
