Managed to get the boat out and take my long time friend/hunting partner Jerry and his brother, visiting from SW Texas hybrid striper fishing, had a great day on the water. Jerry is battling prostate cancer and been through a couple chemo treatments and surgeries. Hard watching a friend and...

Hogs started showing up en masse in June. I got the trap set up and dropped on 28, picked off one here and there until they decided there were safer places to hang out. Trapped 32 total before taking the trap out. Just a random hog pic now and then since. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Finally finished the frontage fence & entrance, still have to grade and pave from the road past the gate 20 feet or so. We do directional drilling so my son's used some spent tri-cone heads for post caps at the entrance. Started getting some pipe corner & gate posts set for interior barbed...

Past due for my biannual update. Drilled 16 acres of soybeans mid may. Due to lack of rain, total failure on all but 4 acres in some deeper soil, may have to replant it into wheat or rye due to the deer consuming most of it. It has kept the deer fed so far this summer, starting to get a little...

First time I planted wheat, don't have any experience but it looks good to me. Didn't ask for anything specific but no doubt an awnless variety. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Drilled the last of the beans and got the rye/ clover sprayed Fri. Got another 1/2 inch of rain over the weekend. Managed to get some clean-up done around the house. Things were going good until the CV on my Bush hog took a dump, wasn't needing anything more to work on. Sent from my SM-G950U...

Thanks, hopefully the Kubota won't hurt my feelings like the McCormick. My son fired the goofy welders before they finished so the gate is delayed until June. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Used my "new to me" tractor for the first time yesterday, it's an older Kubota m108x with 1800 hrs. Worked as expected, at least there's dealer support everywhere if I have a problem with it. Had to haul the McCormick 50 miles to the nearest dealer and order everything. Sent from my...

Took off work yesterday planning on drilling the rest of the beans. I got a 5 acre plot in and it started raining, rained for a couple hours. Ended up with right at an inch, gonna try to get the last 6 acres drilled and all the rye sprayed tomorrow. Checked the plot I planted last Fri, beans are...

    Trapping before fawn drop.

Don't remember the brands except Cavens predator bait. I'm using various gland lures and urine mostly. Haven't had much success with bait, I've caught 12 out of 13 yotes with just gland lure or coyote urine or a combination of in a flat set. I've only caught one with bait in a hole set.

    Trapping before fawn drop.

Nastiest dog I've seen on my place. I had to Google mange to see if humans could get it after I handled it. What I understood was the mites will bite but not survive on a human like scabies can. I cleaned up good afterword anyways. Still learning the ins and outs of trapping, might take me a...
