    How old is this buck?

Doesn’t look over 3 to me.

    Is this the same deer?

Same deer for sure. Split right ear confirms it for me, not to mention that rack is pretty unique. Dandy!

    Nutsedge

Nope, cleth won’t touch it as it’s a sedge and not a true grass. I’ve had good luck mixing ortho sedge killer in a backpack sprayer and spot spraying it. Once it gets thick it’s hard to get rid of without nuking it and starting over in my experience.

    Best time to cut

Agree with the above. Anytime between now and June would be ideal.

    Age a Ky buck

Looking at those teeth, that deer is older than 4. Or ate rocks his whole life.

    Bears climbing for acorns

They will climb all the way to the top of an 80 foot oak tree, way out on branches and everything. Look like a big squirrel! I’ve seen it done a couple times actually. Bears are climbing fools!

    As usual I'm late

Had a heck of a time posting the pic, finally figured it out. I looked at my notes, that was a mix of 2lbs alsike and 1 lb red clover along with the brassica mix (GRO frosty delight). Plot is about 1/3 acre. I’ll try and get a recent pic this weekend but after I mow it I’m expecting a nice...

    As usual I'm late

Here is a pic of one I did last year. You can see the clover coming up under the brassicas. This was a mix of red and Alsike clover.

    As usual I'm late

I’d add the clover to your brassica mix and plant at the same time. The clover will establish and when the brassicas don’t come back in the spring you will have clover. Couple mowings and you will have the broadleaf weeds cleaned up. Could frost seed it in the spring too to get some more seed...

    Those are HUGE acorns!

    Couple of yellow areas

Hit them with some nitrogen. Or possibly a wet spot from heavy rain. Looks great!

    Grass like species in clover

Looks like it might be a sedge. If it is, the Grassout won’t touch it. Pull one out, if the stem where it comes out of the ground is triangular and not round, it’s a sedge.
