Encouraging video from the ****

Tell you what I don't miss from the old forum was some few that resorted to 3rd grade petty name calling during some of the more vivid discussions. I do appreciate that being non existent on this forum. I don't have problem with diff of opinion, but civility can still be the norm.
Guess its time to let things pass and move on. I have a Dr appt this morn for a physical involving intimate relations with him if you know what I mean.:( Everything else will seem trivial. Have a good day friends, and thanks for all the info freely given over the years.

Dr. Longfinger I presume ?
Yea and even worse when you Dr is a good friend. Funny but not.
More than a cough, huh?
Yea cough be better than a Dr friend fondling you, you know. Makes my job so much better when compared.
Maybe we can start our own MeToo movement..
All joking aside hope you got a clean bill of health.
About that me too, I did get a little worried during the exam when I felt both hands on my shoulders. But blood work back and I'm too healthy to be put our to pasture yet. Good genes are a plus and eating all that rabbit food crap Triple likes to cook helps too I suppose.
Wow this thread sure took a wrong turn. Sorry to the OP again.
Seriously people, disease is no respecter of age, stay up on your meds and ck ups when needed. Remember, someone has to manage the habitat.

If you ever cause me think about you with your pants down again, I'm going to plant 50 lbs of KY31 fescue in your clover plot.

You guys are sick. And Native you’ve shown that plaque so often I see it in my sleep. I’ve actually have plans of converting another fescue section to native flora next month. I’ve done it several ways in other areas with good success. Maybe will post a pic or two. Maybe. I’ll destroy that plaque yet and replace it w a pic of me perhaps.
Poor Jason will never post again the way we can destroy a thread.

Just ran across this thread.....Glad to see I wasn't the only one who got rubbed the wrong way by this video. I thought I couldn't lose anymore respect for this organization but I guess I was wrong. To stand their and present this as your own after all that was posted on the old forum is about the most classless and small move I've ever seen. A bigger man would have no problem giving credit to those who did the leg work and took the egg in the face that it took to convince others in the beginning. Even just a tip of the hat to the folks from the old forum would have been enough to have done the right thing......but to say that "you've been hearing voices in the ag industry and started tinkering with it yourself".... while knowing the truth is that you're really just riding on the coat tails of other peoples' work......wheeew, it gets my blood boiling.

Where have you been CnC?

Where have you been CnC?
I've been out here still doing the same old thing....just don't post as much as I used to. Once things seemed to get a foothold I kinda just let it run on its own. I thought that the best thing that could happen is for everyone else to start experimenting and see where all of this can take us.....That video just crawled in under my skin knowing that he sat there and watched the old forum for years and that's where all the stuff he's talking about came from.

I don't blame ya, CnC...you deserve a lot of credit for putting a "crazy" idea out there and promoting it and proving it could be done. Every plot I put in this year was done with some variation of what you started suggesting, all those years ago. You should have a by-line on that video and those knuckle-heads SHOULD give some acknowledgement to the fact it was their OWN forum where that all started to take hold.

At the same time, I have to stand by my original reason for posting the video: The Thrown-THEN-Mow approach is very good for the resource, meaning the soil and the critters. For the **** to finally admit that is good for the community of land managers who care about more than just shooting a buck with "x" number of inches of antler growing out of their head. Love 'em or hate 'em, (mostly the latter) they DO have the largest audience of folks who plant, or would plant, food plots. If the TnM method is solid, and it most certainly is, having the **** admit it is good for land and good for deer and even good for the stewards of land. As much as I'd like to, we can't throw the baby out with the bath-water, can we?

For the sake of the resource and the movement toward better management practices….its a great thing to have the main stream guys finally getting on board. It legitimizes it to the broader public who take what these guys say as the gospel without questioning it. To say that they’re “doing the right thing” though is a stretch and far from what is actually happening. Its more like them jumping on the train before it leaves the station and the kicker is that of all people…QDMA should have been the first to recognize where things were headed and the first on board. Instead they’re damn near late to the game and just getting on the bandwagon before that becomes apparent to the broader masses. To then start putting the info out there like they did in that video I just so small. That’s the only way I know to describe it. I will look at it as being a good thing in the long run but I’ll not praise them for how they’re going about it. Every one of the main stream folks just seem to be most concerned with propping themselves up and getting theirs…..not “doing the right thing”….Maybe that’s what it takes to be somebody.
