Browning BTC5HDE

I bought 4 more Browning trail cameras back in August and here in the last week two of them has stopped taking night pictures. I called Browning and told the Technician my problem and he said if I’m using Duracell batteries (which I am) that they found with Duracell after the batteries drop below 70% it will start doing this. He said they recommend only using Energizer batteries for their cameras. So with that being said has anyone had the same problem and did the Energizer batteries fix this problem. He also said if it doesn’t I can send cameras to them and they will get me taken care of.

I have 15 BTC5HDE, and have never seen that issue. All I've ever used, until this year is Duracell. Now I buy "AC Delco" AA 100 packs off of Amazon. They work just as well. Sorry you had issues, that camera has been 100% fail proof for me.

I have 10 and this is the first issue I have had

I seen the AC Delco batteries on amazon that you were talking about. Do the seem to last like Duracell or Energizer. Looks like they are pretty popular with good reviews

What I have found is that if a camera is finicky about batteries, it's about to fail completely.

But whenever I do sense a battery issue, I go to the Energizer Lithiums. If it won't work with them, it just won't work. Expensive batteries though.

I’ve had issues with no night time pics when batteries fall under 50%. I try to use regular energizers and get a lot more pics and better battery life than Duracell or other brands. I’d buy the 100 pack but only run 3 cameras so 24 pac lasts 2 to 3 months.

I checked the cameras today and switching the batteries did fix both cameras. What’s crazy I was really close throwing both cameras in the trash but I decided to call Browning first

I have 7 of the dark ops, and I run exclusively energizer ultimate lithium.
I run them on public ground, and can typically get 6 months out of them. If I set the picture quality to ultra, I often have less worry about the batteries, and more worry about filling the 16gig card before the season is up.

Bass Pro flyer received today shows the Strike Force Pro (18mp with adjustable mounting brackett) to be on sale starting 2/22 at $99.97 with free 2-day shipping. This is the lowest price seen to date. I don't have any experience with them(the pro model) but reviews look good.--have no idea as to how many they are selling at that price.
