Brushpile's Tracking Pack

Elkie has been busy! In the last week Elkie tracked 9 hours to recover this gut shot buck that was bumped by the hunter 7 hours after it was shot just forward of the hind legs. This buck would not have been recovered without Elkie, because there was no blood!

Then Elkie took 4 tracks in steep hills, and tracked each over a mile.

Now Elkie is sick and is pooping pancakes. I am resting Elkie now and need advice on how to get a good stool and my dog back to tracking. I have 5 dogs and Elkie is by far the best. My next best dog, Heidi is about to have pups this week.

Now I'm tracking with Breeze, granddaughter of a 2X National Tracking Champ, and is United Blood Trackers Qualified! I need Elkie back!.

Brushpile

Your tracking crew has been busy. That is a nice buck. Gosh I hope that Hunter gave you a big tip.

My son and grandson are in Illinois 88 miles down river from St. Louis for Shotgun opener tomorrow.

Thanks for posting.

People that have seen my dogs track have asked to buy a puppy. Today Elkie tracked 1.5 miles before the hunter called the track; you can't do much better than that.

So what are you going to do with puppies
The puppies will be sold to hunting/tracking families. 2 females are still available.
I imagine how many deer these 6 puppies will recover over the years! Two males are going to prime deer country in Central Illinois, one male is going to big buck country in North Central Missouri, and one female will go to a hunter near Truman Lake near Warsaw, MO..

Elkie has been bust tracking and recovering bucks.

This buck was recovered from Fort Leonardwood, MO, on a 40 hour old track.

Here Elkie scored a double.

Seems like the calls to track have really picked up in the last couple of weeks. Your litter of pups look great.

I know you are proud of them. Congrats your success!

I would love to get one of your pups one day. When my current lab is gone (which genuinely makes me sick to think about), I plan on getting another lab for ducks and whatever you tell me to get for tracking deer.

Brush, thanks for sharing pics of success of your pups and your puppies. I appreciate you sharing. I would love to have one of those pups but my wife is not on board yet.Does that breed shed?

It does not shed! Because of the wire coat, the hair stays on the dog until combed out.

Labs can be trained to track deer. Teckels are lovers and make good house dogs. I never thought I'd like one, but I love them. Should you want one I can help locate top dogs near you; they have been bred for centuries to track wounded game.

I’m glad they found homes. My kids have been begging for a dog and this one is definitely on my short list.

Great work Elkie!

At three weeks all puppies are sold to hunting/tracking families. Three will be in Missouri, two in Illinois, and one in Kentucky.
I believe this is your first litter of pups. Congrats on get them all placed. Nice they are placed in great deer states too.

They will go to their new home when?
