The Land of Milk and Honey

Archery season is getting closer here in NE. Way too close, even though I always enjoy it. So stinkin' far behind on my to do list it before I can hunt.
I've been steady at it all summer. Got my treestands checked and trimmed. Replaced a ladder stand with a tower stand the neighbor gave me. The best thing I did was put in a ton of effort in that food plot, but if it doesn't rain it looks like it will all be for nothing...........

Place looks great and I love the looks of your new pole building. I’ll be following along as you share more on your place to see how your food plot turns out. Hopefully you get that much needed rain. I hunt out in Kansas near the Beloit area so I’ll be doing a rain dance for you, and me as well. Thanks for sharing.

Let it rain!!!!!!!

I said that as well yesterday. My lawn is more green now than it was in May! I would guess we will go down in our local area as having one of the wettest Augusts on record. I was going to fall fertilize this weekend, but I think I will hold off. I am getting a bit tired of mowing.

Daytime photos in the wide open are great...I used to get those in heavy cover but dogs running our place all summer have done a number on the daytime photos...
