I ordered a Browning Strike Force from TCP, haven't put it out yet, but I think its going to be great. A whole lot better than the Primos Truth cam 35 with D batteries I was using before, Ive got 2 of them and they work alright just the pictures weren't very good, you could tell it was a deer and had antlers but that's about it.
 
Pretty sure you got lithium batteries with it but if not definitely spend the extra money for lithiums.

If you have a heavily used trail or are placing it over bait I'd recommend 10sec video clips if your using a 16g card. Either that or splurge on a 32g card if you want longer video clips. Obviously you won't need to worry about memory if you can check the card every few weeks.

I have to disagree on the lithiums. I run alkaline AA in my Browning Strike Forces. I get over 20,000 pics on a set of Duracell regularly. I'm not sure how many more I'd get with lithium, but I'm not going to leave a cam alone that long anyway without pulling a card.

I'm not that big on videos, I usually set it for a 3 shot burst and that will get all the pics I need. Its gonna be sitting on a pile of BB2

Great camera. Video or still you will get lots of good pics and very few empty frames.

Ever put two cams side by side, one with lithium batteries and one with alkaline?

Lithium batteries are far superior in battery life AND PERFORMANCE.

Don't take my word for it, just do a little reading or even better do a side by side test.

You will get much better night time pics with lithium batteries and when it starts getting cold they will be far better than alkaline all the way around.

I run 25+ cameras across over 400 acres. I have used lithium, in certain applications where I don't want to enter a sanctuary with a cell cam. I don't need to take your word or anyone else's, I buy "AC Delco" AA batteries off of Amazon $22/100. Do the math. If the pictures on my Browning cameras were any better than they already are, I don't know what I'd do. I put one set of 6 AA in and they last the season normally, many with 20,000+ pics and most still have 30-40% battery left when I take them down (the ones I don't leave out 365). Plus, I dislike lithium due to the fact they don't give any warning when they go, they just die. Also, many cameras battery life meter isn't accurate with lithium. As far as performance, I would bet you could look at lithium generated pics, versus alkaline generated pics and the difference would be negligible; I can't tell the difference. To each his own, now that I run 90% Browning, lithiums are not necessary any more.
 
I agree, especially this time of year. I buy bulk alkaline and they last far longer than I let them go.

I like the brownings. They are 95% reliable for me and the battery life is great. Day pics and day videos - as good as I've had with other cameras - night pics are OK - and reliable - nothing awsome though. Like the sound. Like the video - wish I could get video and cam pics. - I hate preveiwing all the videos - so I usually keep it on 2-shot or 3-shot mode. Have 5 of them out.
 
I have 2 brownings,one works ok as long as battery is over 50% the other is a guess when it will take a pic.I have sent them in several times.They told me that I had to use lithium's and have dedicated sd cards for each camera.I will trade in the one if I get to cabelas

I use Lithiums in WI due to cold weather longevity using a Dark ops Pro. New batteries in August every year and they usually die sometome the next summer, when its not that critical. Empty and repeat. I agree lithium is king in cold weather and if in warmer climates, it doesnt matter

So far I've used about four different brands of cameras and I can tell you that all of them will miss taking pics at some time or another. I know this because I've seen deer and hogs in front of them and no pic was taken. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
 
I have used the strike force, get them on sale for $99. I have used both litheum and cheapo alkaline from Menards. I won't be wasting money on litheum again any time soon. Pic quality is outstanding with the cheap batteries. I get 6 months + and at least 1500 pics on the cheap no name Menards brand.

This was the failure week on my 2nd browning,this cam would taker pics about 7 out of 8 weeks the other about 2 out of 8 weeks.It's not that they miss pics it's that after a week the file is empty and I know there were animals in front of it.Browning told me that they should have lithiums and a dedicated sd card so i did that and no change.I won't ever buy another browning when I can get moultries and they last for years.I am going to call them one more time then trash them if they don't want to fix
