Bobcats are probably the number 1 predator of turkeys after hatch in my area but yes they are cool to see

I guess your trapper hasn't gotten him yet?

No, he took the week off but said he would hit it hard next week. Best I can tell I still have 2 coyotes left, and I would rather see those gone than the cat. I had another daylight pic of this same cat the day before on the other side of my place, so he is comfortable and not feeling any pressure right now. The place in the pic above must be near his lair. I had him multiple times this week right there.

Nice looking cat native...

This one is using our place...

That's a good sized one too Johnny. I have two more besides the one above using the place right now. One is about the same size as your cat and the other one is smaller. My dad reads the predator extreme magazine a lot and according to him rabbits are their favorite food. A few weeks back I had a pic of one carrying a bunny.

I wanted to upload some old pics off my AZ trap line, but an error occurs. I caught an even 50 the last year I trapped, and I saved the meat. Everyone that tasted Bobcat wanted more! Hides averaged $125 for western cats.

In KY they have a yearly limit of 5 cats. They have a program where they are trying to increase numbers. It appears to be working.

Those cat pictures are really neat. Ive never " caught " one on camera in all my years here. Saw one crossing my gravel road over 20 years ago.

Worm, they seem to gravitate to my place. I searched this morning through my old pictures to find the best picture I had of a cat with a tracking collar, but must have lost it (The Photobucket episode really messed me up). But I did find the picture below from last year of a cat with a tracking collar. The other picture I was looking for was much better, because you could see the antenna sticking out.

I know a guy a F&W and shared the collared cat pics with him. He sent me a map showing the pings, and it clearly defined the cat's range. My place is the north end of its range. It's primary core is over a mile south of me on a creek.

I was deer hunting at the time this cat walked out in the open and didn't even see it.
