I didn't save anything from the QDMA Forum, and will start over. I'm glad to see some recognizable names and hope others will join us here.
I call my thread "The Brushpile", because I like brushy cover for deer and "The Brushpile" is a contiuation of a long running thread on the QDMA Forum. More to follow and there will be lots of pics, once I learn the process.

Welcome you old tree planter. Sure feels good to hear the Brushpile will start over on here. :)
I hope you have gotten some more rain at the Brushpile.

That post I put on your thread about my post # was just ahead of the shutdown.

Glad to see you came over Brush, wouldn't be the same without the southern MO weather reports and a blood trailing wiener dog!

So happy to see you here my Missouri friend. So saddened to see all your posts on qdma disappear. Hopefully the change here will bring you lots of rain for the brushpile.

Welcome
Todd

Yeah, maybe QDMA is what brought you drought. Now that the evil spirits have been lifted the skies will open. ;)

Thanks guys! :) While I didn't save the old thread, I plan to go back through old pics, include new pics, plus add tracking pics; since deer season in only a few months away. My focus is on Elkie, my German Wirehaired Dachshund, daughter of Drosselbart and Isitrumpelstiltskin, pronounced Is It Rumpelstiltskin. Having such royal bloodlines Elkie holds herself in higher esteem than that of a mere weiner dog. LOL

Great to see everybody here!!! :)

I'll post pics when I crack the code.

It shouldn't be any different than uploading on another forum. Use a site like photobucket to host the image or upload it as an attachment here. I prefer using photobucket because then you can post more than 1 pic per post.

Glad to see you starting up again, it's so great to see so many back at it already.

Going back through old pics. I was actually somewhat disappointed when I took this buck, because there was monster buck in the woods with my name on it! My neighbor helped me find this 5-6 year old buck, that was shot through both lungs and didn't leave a blood trail. After recovering this buck I contacted doctorbrady and inquired about getting my own blood tracking dog.

doctorbrady looked but couldn't locate a Bavarian Mountain Bloodhound or Wachtelhund, which are the two breeds he was using.... so he recommended a Dachshund. My jaw dropped and I said something like, "Dachshund, you have to be kidd'n me"!!! That Thanksgiving Day I drove to WI and and picked up Elkie, my Wirehaired Dachshund.

That gun season I dropped this buck with my .270. I took a head on shot at the chest an the buck dropped in his tracks. Notice the orange tag on his ear! This buck also had a metal tag in his other ear, and I later learned that he escaped from a deer farm during the ice storm of 2007, making this buck at least seven years old. In captivity this buck would have sported a gigantic rack, but in the wild his rack conformed to local conditions; he was harvested about five miles from where he escaped.
