Well since College football is done for the year just wondering how many basketball fans we have.

Has a #1 ranking team ever lost their new ranking as quick as Baylor did today?

We whipped them at the coliseum last year. Really wasn't too difficult to do again. They don't like that arena. Big 12 really just doesn't have a dominant team yet and I'm not sure any conference has a handle yet. Always a waste to make predictions based on the before January play with any team. Should be an interesting year.

We suck. Might be the worst coached team in the sec. Last nights game was a perfect example. Got beat at home mostly because we played a matchup zone which we don't do that well to start with against one of if not the best shooting team in the league.

I keep hoping Bruce pearl will get Auburn relevant again but issues keep arising for any promising stars. Here's hoping. At least he keeps it exciting

Vandy's gym is hard to shoot in with the structure and benches at the end.

Kentucky takes about 60 to 75% of the season to get on the same page because they rely on freshmen so much. College Basketball is more fun to me when there is no one dominate team and multiple teams battle for dominance.

Lakngulf if Bruce Pearl can get some talent he can build a winner. When Florida had their back to back national championships the Vols had a winning record against that great Gator team. Man lost everything he loved over a cook out violation. The little lies are never little - they are the killer fact that brings things tumbling down.

He and Pat Head Summit were great friends. It was the greatest of times and then it evaporated.

If I can change one shot in all of the NCAA tournament championships, I wish the Butler shot that hit the front of the rim had been good and they had of beat the Mighty Duke Blue Devils.

I don't have a favorite team this year - my Vols are not a top notch team.

College basketball is probably my favorite sport to watch. It is hard because my team has a tendency to disappoint me over and over and over and over. U of I is where my heart is but my mind tends to wander away from them about mid season every year. Go Illini !?!?!?!

Yea try rooting for the Husker mens team! GO BIG RED!

I'm glad my plantings do better than my hogs.
Tough year for football and basketball looks to be worse.
Bring on the diamond hog season!

Do you remember an elite 8 game against SU. Laurence Moten called a time out in a tie game when we didn't have one. Final minute of game. Two shots and the ball, you went on to win championship. Moten was one of my top 5 favorite players ever. Probably one of the most under rated (still SU's all time leading scorer) players ever. That game still haunts me, right behind '87 championship game. He was a skinny Chaler Barkley. From that point on I hated Corlieus Williamson.

Good Lord yes! I was watching that game. We actually played some ball back in the late 80's and early 90's.
Had some really good teams in the 70's too.

If I had to guess I would say 92 or 93 but my memory is shot.

I understand completely, but I think that is right. We won it all in 94 and we were runner up in 95 and that's when Corliss played.

Think he played 93-95 and left a year early along with Scott Thurman.

I am going to guess 95 then. I thought you won back to back. They were defending champs because I was upset to be the same bracket. Who did they loose to? We went to final four in 96 but Moten was gone.

95 we lost the championship game to ucla so had to a been that year.
Those were awesome times to be a hog fan.
When was the last time Syracuse was in the final 4? I remember at one time they had a heck of a bball program.

Last year! This is our first down year in some time. They were top 20 preseason. Very frustrating team to watch, they either win by 20 or loose by 20. Still time to turn it around but not looking good.

Your SU team sounds like my Illini team either win by 20 or lose by 20. Last night they beat a very good Michigan team handily so you just never know what they will do. I would say if Groce doesn't make tournament this year he is gone. The plus is we have a top 5 national recruiting class coming. I still think if they get the younger Finke kid to sign instead of going to one of the big time schools they will be a potential final 4 team for 3 or 4 years straight. The Finke kid's dad went to school in my hometown of Casey (town of 3000), he was a few years ahead of me in school but was awesome to watch him play football and basketball. Football was his sport our high school team won the State Championship his senior year which was 85'. Jeff went on to play basketball and football at U of I and stayed in Champaign after graduating. It is great to see his boys succeeding in athletics and academics as well even though the older boy came out sporting a man bun this basketball season. I don't care much for that look lol.
