Why does the DEERHUNTERFORUM page not load properly?

Right now DEERHUNTERFORUM doesn't open right on my android or my PC, it displays in a simplified view that's horrible to navigate and read. I can open it in normal view on Tapatalk but I dislike their layout. I think I remember someone else having this issue, but I forget what the fix was?

Does it to me too, but only on my phone. It opens fine on PC. I hope they fix it as my use of the site has gone way down due to it.

Is it any better? I have never had any problems on my iPhone or iPad so I don’t know if it’s fixed or not...

Can’t find anything wrong from our end, and I’ve personally never experienced any issues. We rebooted the server and recommend anyone having problems to either try a different browser or empty their cache.

I actually messaged the admins about this yesterday. There's a problem with the CSS (sytle sheet), when viewing the forum over HTTPS. It works fine via HTTP. Many browsers are now forcing users to HTTPS, instead of HTTP. The S standard for secure. All HTTPS connections are encrypted for your privacy protection. It's a very easy fix, if the admins have any web development skills. (It's been this way on my phone for a few months now)

It goes back and forth on my phone, can't seem to find the why or what.

By chance it went from never doing it on my PC to only doing it on my PC today.

Sent you a PM. Thanks for your help.

Hey! Success. I don't know if you did anything but I have normal view on my phone for the first time in 2 months. Now I can stop using Tapatalk again.

I hope the administrator can get it fixed. I only access with my iPhone or iPad and I have not had any of the issues you guys are experiencing. Hopefully alnipper fixes it soon!

I was able to read and post from my phone.

But the laptop I could read but not post for several days.

This morning it started working again.

Pay close attention to if your browser is using http:// or httpS:// when it's working vs not. (you might have to edit the url in the address bar) Chances are, your web browser is forcing you to use httpS when it's not working. These days, all web traffic really should run over HTTPS. The forum is broken when accessed via httpS.

@RGrizzzz has it. The site is mixing secure and insecure content.

Everyone, or at least quite a few users, had this same issue on another Fishing Forum I’m on earlier this year.

At first the Owner said it was Chrome issues, but later found that the Majority of Browsers are now forcing https and not allowing http only anymore.

He had the entire site redone to https and no issues for anyone that I know of since.

Could of been Browers were getting hit for allowing hackers though or something.

The technology world always has an eye on security. In 2022, all websites really should send all traffic over HTTPS for lots of reasons. While a pain in the neck, web browsers (Chrome, Edge, FireFox, Safari, etc.) are moving to a default of requiring HTTPS. You can see in my screenshots the default settings for Chrome on Android phones and Microsoft Edge on the PC.

It is so back and forth for me (both PC and phone). I can open the site and have it normal, then click on a thread and have it turn goofy. Same with my phone.
