New Toy

Those things have to be pretty darn handy though. Can think of a lot of uses for one.

Great purchase! I love my pole pruner. Not to down your model, but a Milwaukee pole pruner has up to 12 amp batteries and lasts a bit longer. But that still may not be enough for a real outdoorsman.

I got one of the ryobi 40v pole saws a couple of months ago. For battery operated, it sure can get some work done. I ended up getting another battery for mine, found that it was cheaper to buy one of their blowers with the battery included than to buy one out right. Now I have a super quiet blower as well.

They seem to have more torque or something than gas. Long as the battery is charged, hard to beat.

I have the Ryobi 18 volt and it's great. I trim up a bunch of stands for public hunting and one 4 amp battery gets through most of the day. Of course, this is not continuous use. Surprised the 40 volt doesn't have better run time?

I had trouble with the Ryobi 40V chargers. Went through 2 in about 4 months. So I have string trimmer with 2 batteries I haven’t used in a couple years. I walk by the chargers in HD but, I refuse to buy another. Hopefully the charger problem has been fixed. I probably should get a charger but who knows how the batteries would be after 3 years. I’m back to all gas everything now. Until they outlaw gas anyways. Looks like they did that in California. No more gas mowers, trimmers or saws.

Supposedly people are leaving California by the droves and now we know why, they'd rather move than part with their stihl chainsaws.

I have had the 40v Greenworks for some time. Also came with a hedger attachment. My neighbors and I love it.

Got no hedges to trim but I have the same pole saw. It really surprised me with what it will do. I liked it so much I bought a regular chainsaw of the same brand. I won’t give up my Husky for big work but the e-saws do most of what I need doing.
