Bunkhouse Build

My neighbor and I are building a bunkhouse out of part of one of his old sheds. The grandsons and I will use it to hang out on our weekend hunts at the farm (my Mother's house has been sold so we needed a new plan). Things are coming along nicely.

I am looking for a good alternative for Hot Water. Electricity to the cabin is limited a bit, and we plan to install a small mini-split for heating and cooling. If I go electric hot water then the pull may be too much.

What do you know of small Tankless Hot Water systems running off propane, and specifically off a 100 lb or 20 lb propane tank? I see them available but need some assurance it is a good plan.

Thanks for your help

I have used 2 of the tankless water heaters and they work very well off small propane tanks (the size you use for a propane grill). The only problem we had setting it up was on the tank side - I believe there was too much pressure. It was an easy fix once we knew the problem.

I can think of no better name for deer camp than “The Pig Barn” ! Seriously, that would be so cool !
Well, in our case, it's part of a plan to buy the family farm. Step one, is getting something renovated that we can live in with relative comfort. Step two is "everything else". While we may hunt some deer there, it'll be more than a deer camp. It'll be home, if it happens at all. Several things have to fall inline to make this possible.

Well, I hope you get it done.
